This is the Oscar-winning actor who won the highly coveted award for his role in movies like Gladiator and “A Beautiful Mind.” The post by Crowe was so cryptic that it got the whole internet talking within minutes trying to decode his location.

In fact, the picture does show a very impressive domed cathedral in the background with diffused lighting creating that romantic, almost filmy, feeling. Immediately, fans swamped the replies with guesses-Rome? Paris? Istanbul? The battle rages on. Mary Kay🦋 came in with “maybe Rome because of the domed cathedral? i love your photo, so romantic, soft and muted….” Others, such as Tonya Steiner, mused, “🇫🇷 Paris? maybe?”
But where all the fun drama came in was with AntonellaSollena, who amusingly moaned, “Noooooo Russell noooooo I can’t believe it😫😫😫 I left for a couple of days and I’m coming back on the weekend. I live so near that ‘building from the picture’ ….WHYYYYYYY so far nowwwww!!”
