In fact, the for mysterious account that had announced in incognito style ‘Hurry Up tomorrow’ release at that very moment sent out this cryptic tweet causing uproar among people here with just one line: “When the sun goes down.” followed by a tag #linking to Coachella and The Weeknd – a set to be made within theaters about something coming to cinemas on May 16, 2025. To the attached photo by Gunner Stahl, shows…well, really, no one knows anything, but people literally go crazy with theories.

First, reply there as if excitedly confused with pure screaming seeking a one-on-one match. User @xotesfaye___ immediately made the connection of ‘when the sun goes down I know what you become’ which, any hardcore Weeknd fan would know, from the song named Adaptation in his Kiss Land album. Then, it spread his kiss land stans into frenzy: @kimspov_ yelling ”ADAPTATION REFERENCE?!? KISSLAND STANS WE WON’ junior to a gif of someone losing their mind. And believe me, the replies are full with people catching up with the Kiss Land references, from @b6bycakes asking straight up, ‘KISSLAND PART 2???’ to @cyclotesfaye just screaming ‘ADAPTATION OMG!!!!’ in all caps like they’ve just won the lottery.
However, that’s not all good. @sereternite asked randomly ‘So where is Barry?’, which… what? Who’s Barry? Nobody knows. Meanwhile, @AlyinaDemi wanted to give it a try and then begged ‘Abel I’m a driver for Coachella right now please let me drive you 😭😭😭😭🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻’ which can either be the most desperate or the most genius fan move we’ve seen in a while.
Such a hype indeed. @parkSEOngFINE and @kimspov_ held the entire debate around, “This album feels like a fever dream fr,” and “I’ve genuinely never listened to a more perfect album.” The whole notice is of @RayinTheValley who saw the Raiders hat in that photo and commented like it was some top secret clue.
What’s actually going on here? A movie? New album? Some sort of Coachella experience? Just a date and a vibe is all that could be picked up from the tweet. But, the way people reacted, you’d think The Weeknd just surprised all with an announcement that he was dropping a project tomorrow without prior warning. The phrase “when the sun goes down” thrusts a lot and the replies show that even the slightest hint sends people into a spiral.
One thing’s for sure: whatever Hurry Up Tomorrow is, it’s got tongues wagging. Whether it be Kiss Land sequel theories, desperate calls for selfies (@Kyra_Kaur respectfully asked Abel to “drop a selfie of your beautiful face”), or pure confusion, engagement is through the roof. May 2025 seems ages away, but when it all comes to a head, much bigger things might drop.

For now, wait, speculate, and watch how the replies get more ridiculous with time. And maybe, just maybe, Barry will turn up.
